If you’re like me and many other parents around the country, you have kids who just love Blippi! My daughter is now obsessed with the purple and orange goofiness of all things Blippi. (And now Meekah, too!)
You can watch Blippi episodes online, and on Netflix and Peacock. (We watch Meekah on Netflix.) You can visit the Blippi Youtube channel here, or the main Blippi website here for episodes, information, and even merchandise. We also love our Blippi books!
A little screen time is just fine… let’s be honest, it can be helpful and give parents a much-needed break! If we do a little screen time, I would personally rather have my daughter watch something that is more “educational,” a little slower as to not be too overstimulating, have real people, or if it’s animated to have “realer-looking” people and an actual storyline. A lot of young kids’ shows nowadays are full of singing, noise, bright animations, no engaging storyline or real dialogue, etc… they may seem fun and silly and hold a child’s attention, but there isn’t any value to them. Kiddos aren’t engaged, thinking, and learning. But screens aren’t the enemy! What matters is just how they’re used and the quantity and quality of screen time. (:
So anyway, this momma views Blippi as a go-to in our home! (Cue a fun and happy Blippi dance!) I’m happy that my daughter often chooses to watch Blippi or Meekah when we do a little screen time. They visit real places, talk to real people, and want to help little ones learn. They are good options for kids!
We live in the Tampa Bay, Florida area and quickly discovered that many of Blippi’s visits took place nearby. I couldn’t believe it! It’s been fun watching Blippi episodes of places we’ve been to or could actually visit soon ourselves.
